Ease of setup and use: A password manager should make it easy to transition from using browser-based password autofill (or nothing at all), as well as to set up all the apps and browser extensions required. The apps should walk you through the process of setting them up and giving them the permissions they need to work. iOS and Android compatibility: A password manager should have apps for both iOS and Android that are easy to use and capable of autofilling passwords in browser windows and within apps.We check for (but don’t require) compatibility with Microsoft’s Internet Explorer and Edge browsers, as well as with Opera. The extensions are responsible for autofilling passwords and other forms, as well as for generating and saving new passwords when you change one or make a new account. Web browser compatibility: We test only those password managers that offer browser extensions for Chrome, Firefox, and Safari. Support for Chrome OS is generally covered by Chrome browser extensions. We note Linux compatibility but don’t require it. Desktop and laptop compatibility: A password manager should have a Windows and macOS app that you can use to browse, add, and edit your information. We look at three different kinds of compatibility. Password managers should receive frequent updates, especially after large operating system changes (like the launch of Windows 11 or macOS Monterey), which helps plug any security holes and shows that the developers are regularly working on the app. Compatibility: A great password manager runs on just about anything, regardless of what hardware and software you and your family use.A good password manager should offer cloud syncing so that your passwords remain accessible anywhere on an unlimited number of devices. Sync between devices (and no limits on the number of devices you can use): You probably have more than one device that you use every day, between your home computer, your work computer, your phone, and your laptop.Unlimited password storage: Any paid password manager should be able to store an unlimited number of passwords and other records, and enough free ones offer unlimited storage that you shouldn’t settle for less.Privacy: A password manager shouldn’t share data with third parties for advertising, so we check both the privacy policies and the mobile apps to confirm that they aren’t sharing data they aren’t supposed to.Security audits aren’t perfect-they offer just a snapshot of the software and infrastructure-but they are a signal of trust and transparency. But those promises of security only go so far, so we require that any password managers we recommend participate in regular third-party security audits (preferably audits that they make public) and have a bug-bounty program. A good password manager needs to use strong encryption to protect your data on your computer, on your password manager’s server, and when your data is moving between the two. Good protection for your passwords: You’re trusting your password manager with your entire digital existence, and your password manager should store your data securely.Regardless of the password manager you use, it’s important to protect your data with a strong master password-we have advice for how to do that below. Bitwarden works on the same devices as 1Password, so you can use it with any computer, phone, tablet, or browser. But the free version of Bitwarden offers the core features you need in a password manager, including the ability to sync as many passwords as you want across as many devices as you own, support for software two-factor authentication, and sharing between two people with separate logins using a two-person organization. Plus, Bitwarden isn’t as polished overall and lacks the in-app guidance of 1Password, which makes it harder for beginners to get the hang of. The free version of Bitwarden gets the basics right and doesn’t cost a thing, but it lacks a few features that make 1Password such a standout option, such as password checkups and 1 GB of encrypted storage (all features you can find in Bitwarden’s reasonably priced, $10-per-year premium plan).

(Holding down the up/down key as was suggested in the original thread, fails - it doesn't move the item for ~0.5 - 1 second, then it moves it too quickly to fine tune up or down the 2 or 3 lines needed.) Same applies in going between other drives (past my DVD) or between local drives and a networked computer or 2 networked computers (if another networked computer is in between and not accessible). My concern is that this is needlessly hammering my SSD and shortening its life. When I move up and down the tree with the keyboard, drives that aren't connected (network computers I'm not logged into, floppy drives etc) immediately freeze XY while they try and access, rather than waiting for a few hundred milliseconds first (as on Windows Explorer) in case I quickly skip past them to another tree row.Įvery time I go from C: to \User it has to go past A:\ and tries to access it. The files themselves are relatively small but they appear to be being written to near continuously, with number of megabytes continuously and quickly rising. The filenames have the following name types:Ĭ:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Caches\.2.ver0x00000000002ce8d8.db But only with Xyplorer, not Windows Explorer or the other file manager I mentioned in my earlier post.ī) I just tried switching auto-refresh off - no change, unfortunately.Īccording to Sysinternals Process Explorer, the XYplorer.exe process is writing, near continuously, to files in my "C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Caches" folder. I just temporarily deleted my Xyplorer.ini, which appeared to simulate a fresh install scenario. However, I also today updated my laptop with v from v and I did NOT get the disc activity either before or after the update and the fact that there have been no "me toos" in response to my posting suggests there's some issue on my specific computer. If you filter the 'Process' column for 'contains "cache"' you can home in on the activity. The file is too large for the forum but I posted it to. I also captured file activity using Sysinternals Process Explorer tool. Look at the disc writes - 814Mb! Mainly on the 'cache' folder files shown in the Resource Monitor screenshot in my original post. I'm happy to provide any further information, screen movies etc. I cannot live without my Xyplorer, which has become highly personalised to me over the years with my favourite folders etc. FreeCommander XE opens the same folders near instantly, so unfortunately I have to conclude this is a performance issue on Xyplorer. FreeCommander XE has many of the same basic features of Xyplorer and therefore should have comparable performance on similar tasks. To an extent, this may help distinguish between an issue on my computer and an issue with Xyplorer. I also downloaded a free file manager, FreeCommander XE, to compare the performances. Neither approach seems to have resolved the issue. Made XYplorer.exe and XYCopy.exe process exceptions in Windows Defender.Deleted settings file and then closed Xyplorer, saving settings. To the best of my knowledge I do not have a virus and all my other software appears to be running normally. (I have not changed any of my 'Icons' settings.) Presumably its data is cached in memory so the issue appears to be slow folder content scanning. Once the folder is shown I can click on a different folder and when I return it shows near-instantly. For example, I've just opened a folder for the first time this session, which only contains 5 files and one sub-folder and it took over 10 seconds to get control (i.e. Even after the folder contents appear visible in the list view, it is still frozen for several seconds. Recently (last couple of updates, I think) I've noticed that it has become frustratingly slow at times - especially, for example, when opening a new tab /folder (either by clicking in the tree or double-clicking a folder in the list view). I've been using XYplorer for many years, on the same computer (Win / 64 bit / 16gb RAM / i7-2600 3.4Ghz / SSD Windows and apps, +2 plattered data drives). Now bidding continues between P3 and P4 until one of them also passes). When a player bids an amount, they are betting that their team will score at least that amount by the end of the round based on the cards in hand (EXAMPLE: P2 starts the bid with 20, P3 bids 21, P4 bids 23, P1 passes, P2 passes. The first bid of the Auction phase must be a minimum of 20 points and each subsequent bid must be higher.Once a player passes, they are no longer able to bid. The player left of the dealer has the opportunity to start the bidding or they may pass.As with other trick-taking games, any card of the current trump suit will always beat any cards in other suits (EXAMPLE: K of Hearts would normally beat a 9 of Spades, but because Spades is the current trump suit, the 9 of Spades is higher).Įach round of the game is divided into 3 distinct phases: Auction, Meld and Playing. If a player has five or more 9's in hand and no melds (explained below), the hand can be thrown back in with all other hands and cards re-dealt.Ĭards in Pinochle are ranked from high to low as follows: A > 10 > K > Q > J > 9.The deck is shuffled and each player is dealt 12 cards in sets of 3 cards at a time. Players divide themselves into two teams and sit so that they are opposite of their teammate (EXAMPLE: Team 1 - Player 1, Team 2 - Player 2, Team 1 - Player 3, Team 2 - Player 4).This means there are no 2-8 cards and that there are two copies of 9-A in the deck for each suit. Pinochle uses a unique 48 card deck that consists of 2 sets of 9, 10, J, Q, K, A in each suit.In Pinochle, the goal is to be the first team to score 150 points via the meld and playing phases of the game. Instead, Xiaomi has been working with P2i to add a water-repellent nano-coating to its devices (similar to how Motorola offers protection minus the IP rating). The overall build of the Mi 10 Pro is good, but there's no official IP rating. We're happy to recommend the Mi 10 Pro, as it's a great phone in many areas, but it's definitely a phone where you'll want to keep an eye on the deals. And that circles back to our original point: how long will it be before Xiaomi comes out with a new phone that severely undercuts the Mi 10 Pro price? Indeed, it's almost double the price of the Mi Note 10, which offers much of the same experience. The UK price for the Mi 10 Pro is still to be confirmed, but we suspect it's going to be somewhere in the region of £999 based on the European price of €999 or US price of $1100 - and that's on the high side compared to a phone like the OnePlus 8 Pro. Perhaps the biggest question is why there's a sibling device that's almost on a par when it comes to the spec, differing only mildly in the camera department. It has a great build, great display and an excellent camera, paired with competitive battery life. The Mi 10 Pro leaves little to complain about when it comes to the flagship experience, except some software bloat. So how does the Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro stack up? The evidence suggests that triple therapy is the most effective treatment in moderate/severe symptomatic patients with COPD at risk of exacerbations, with marginal if any risk of side effects including pneumonia. Furthermore, triple therapy showed a promising signal in terms of improved survival. Overall, compared to LAMA, ICS/LABA, or LAMA/LABA, triple therapy decreased the risk of exacerbations and improved lung function and health status, with a favorable benefit-to-harm ratio. Of the five main fixed triple studies completed so far, three evaluated the efficacy and safety of an extrafine formulation of beclometasone dipropionate, formoterol fumarate, and glycopyrronium the other two studies evaluated fluticasone furoate, vilanterol, and umeclidinium. This review presents the clinical evidence that led to the approval of these triple therapies, discusses the role of ICS in patients with COPD, and presents data on the relative efficacy of "fixed triple" (ICS/LAMA/LABA) therapy vs LAMA, ICS/LABA, and LAMA/LABA combinations, and summarizes studies in which ICS/LABAs were combined with LAMAs to form "open triple" combinations. Recently, two "fixed triple" single-inhaler combinations of an inhaled corticosteroid (ICS), a long-acting β 2-agonist (LABA), and a long-acting muscarinic antagonist (LAMA) have become available for patients with COPD. One of Android’s strengths has always been the ability to customize, so it’s a shame Google makes power users go through so many steps to change the home screen. And unlike the more basic workaround that eliminates Nvidia’s home screen section, launching the Shield Hub app from an alternative launcher preserves access to GameStream and Nvidia’s game store. I’ve confirmed that this works on the Nvidia Shield Android TV. To get the standard launcher back, return to the command prompt and type adb shell pm unhide.
The Royal Court is both the name of the expansion and a new hub area being introduced as part of the paid DLC that, alongside its associated mechanics, will be exclusive to emperors and kings who've risen to the peak of their power. "That being said, you can look forward to news about the 2022 release date Soon™!" "It's a tricky balance between sentiments like 'It will release whenever we finish making sure it is ready' and things like giving exact timelines only to make necessary but upsetting changes to that timeline when we do actually need time to review and make those changes. "We also understand the frustration that delays cause, but we would like to make sure we are always as forthcoming as possible and that you hear the news directly from us. There are a number of bugs we really need to iron out, and are taking more time to make sure it is in line with the standards you would expect from us. "With that in mind we are not, at the moment, entirely satisfied with Royal Court's progress, especially regarding its stability. It is very much breaking new ground, and as such, we are experimenting at every turn. "Royal Court is not only the first expansion for CK3, but it will also propose a set of features entirely new to the CK series, including cultural evolution and language. "Earlier this year, we informed you all that we were working hard to make sure that Royal Court was up to our standards. "This year has been a long and interesting one, to be certain, but we are here all together to make sure that our community gets the product that we have all been waiting for and deserve," Paradox said in a post on Steam. The developer said it was not "entirely satisfied" with the progress made on the expansion. Paradox has delayed Crusader Kings 3's Royal Court expansion to 2022. But it still doesn't add anything good to the game. When applied to two different walls in the same space, two coats each. Waste of time, tedious, not fun, pointless. This is a 1-quart can of KILZ Odorless Oil-Base Primer/Sealer for interior spaces. But what do they do? Make you build storage in a tiny corridor in order to reasonably get to the island (or even find out about it, if you're new and not spoiled), then you have to tear it all down and rebuild it later when you find the room and go "oh, that would be so much nicer". My question was more about where are you supposed to find it in normal first play-through progression. Aka the story of the people there before u (not aliens) It can be unlocked within the first 10-15 minutes of the game when you know where to go, so it's definitely not late game. Lockers of all sorts fit much better in an MPR than in a cramped corridor. The islands start you on a diff path of base building discoveries. They're nothing but a waste of materials and they don't hold nearly enough. My agrument was always that first reason to build a base is storage. You're not going to be held up getting one of those because you don't have the blueprint for the room to build it in or anything. I recognize that maybe it's part-in-parcel with some of the important base features that require the MPR - bioreactor, alien containment, water filtration), but it's not like all of those aren't FAR harder to get and later in the game no matter what. And yeah, it's pretty much pointless aggravation. It's not so much difficult (it's not like you try and somehow "fail" to get the blueprint), it's just delayed. Some people line up an hour or more before the parades to get the best spots, so they’re definitely worth your time. There are others, however, that you will no doubt catch by surprise throughout your time at the parks. The Festival of Fantasy at Magic Kingdom is the quintessential Disney parade combining many characters, fun songs, and some extra fire-breathing magic. If you don’t love a pineapple soft-serve, however, there are plenty of other options! We love the Mickey pretzel, the red velvet Mickey cake pop at the Confectionary, the Mickey Ice Cream Bar, and the macarons in Epcot, France but pretty much anything Mickey-shaped will do. You can grab one at the Aloha Isle near the Aladdin ride at Magic Kingdom. You may think it is not necessary to spend the money on a special snack, but it really won’t be a Disney vacation if you don’t indulge in at least one treat. Check out the Best Rides at Disney World post for more options. And we absolutely love Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway. Our favorites are Splash Mountain, Pirates of the Caribbean, Spaceship Earth, Soarin, Flight of Passage, Kilimanjaro Safari, Star Tours, and Toy Story Mania. From the classics to the innovative, try for a few of these during your trip you won’t find rides like these at your regular theme parks. They’re all worth a try, but these are our favorites that will give you a 360 view of all the magic at Disney. Maybe you’re not up for a rollercoaster or think rides are just for kids, BUT Walt Disney himself perfected the art of animatronics and put them in some of the best Disney rides. You can also try the Lilo and Stitch breakfast at Ohana in The Polynesian Resort and Trattoria al Forno featuring Rapunzel, Ariel, and their princes on the Boardwalk. We most love The Crystal Palace at Magic Kingdom with Winnie the Pooh and Friends, and 1900 Park Fare with Cinderella alongside her wicked stepmother and evil stepsisters at the Grand Floridian Resort (accessible via monorail from Magic Kingdom) are very fun. If you’re bringing smaller children, the dining experiences are often better than waiting in the lines to meet and greet characters around the parks. Beloved characters parade around the restaurants, visit you at your table, hug you, pose with you, and chat with you as if they’re actually the real character and not just an actor in a costume. But if this is your first visit to Walt Disney World the experience is an absolute must-do! Character Dining is Disney in all its glory. We’ve admitted many times that we have a love/hate relationship with character dining.
